Train the Complete Game

MMA Training Built Around Real Progress

SBG Manchester provides structured Mixed Martial Arts training for adults at every experience level—from someone attending their first class to experienced competitors.

MMA combines striking, wrestling and grappling into one complete system. Our programme teaches you how those ranges connect: striking effectively at distance, controlling the clinch, completing takedowns and working intelligently on the ground.

Beginners develop stance, movement, defence, striking fundamentals, wrestling positions and ground awareness in a controlled environment. Experienced athletes refine their timing, transitions and tactical decision-making through positional training and live practice.

Whether your goal is fitness, confidence, self-defence, competition or becoming a more complete martial artist, our coaches will give you a clear and sustainable route forward.

The SBG Manchester Approach

Why Choose Our MMA Classes in Manchester?

Choosing the right MMA gym matters. At SBG Manchester, our programme is built around intelligent coaching, connected skill development and long-term progression.

We teach strong fundamentals before adding unnecessary complexity. Students learn how striking, wrestling and grappling connect, rather than treating each area as a completely separate sport.

Technical drilling, positional training and controlled live practice allow you to develop timing and confidence without being thrown into uncontrolled sparring before you are ready.

Our coaching team brings together decades of experience across MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, boxing and kickboxing, helping students become capable and well-rounded martial artists.
